Good Morning Everyone!
I hope that everyone is doing great! This week has been a great week! I loved hearing from everyone and it sounds like you guys are doing good!
So as it turns out, Elder Martinez and I are still together for another transfer, so we will have 6 months together in the mission. Like WOW! For a fourth of the mission, I am with him.
But this last week we had a couple of baptisms which were great and spiritual. Oh yeah this last week Elder Martinez and I went to the temple on Thursday, so we had to work from P-Day to Thursday, so by that time we were a little dead but the temple is something extraordinary and special!!! That was the first time that I did a session since my first time over a year ago in Chicago with Garbear and Mom and Dad. It was pretty cool though in Spanish. This time going through I learned so much more and I really enjoyed it and I enjoyed the sweet spirit that I felt!! That was definitely a highlight for this last week!
On Friday, I did a work visit with Elder Frost who is in my district. Elder Frost is from Orem Utah and has 21 months in the mission. He is such a great guy and man we can talk for hours. And it helps that he likes and knows cars as well, hahaha. But that night we stayed up pretty late just talking and it was great! We also talked with the bishop and he is such a great guy! He only has eight years as a member, three years as the bishop, so he is pretty new but he is great and humble! We have a great relationship and we are seeing the fruits here in our ward, Magnolias!
Something I have started to do within the last months is study the life of Jesus Christ. I have been reading his life in the New Testament and in the Book of Mormon. There is just something so special with learning more about our Savior and Redeemer! I have understood so much more on what He expects of me and how I should live my life. Now when we are in this time of the year with Easter and the Resurrection of Him, we should really prepare ourselves spiritually and that comes with diligent scripture study. And when General Conference comes, we can just expand our knowledge and testimony of Jesus Cristo. So that is my invitation!
I love you guys so much and am so grateful for this opportunity to leave my life to find my life. I hope and pray that you can too. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!
Love,

Hey Everyone!
So another fast week down in the books! Everything is great and I´m glad to hear that for the most part everyone is doing good!
Some sad news happened this week, Elder Dillon had an emergency transfer, so now he is training in San Juan de Lurigancho. And now in our district we have Elder Frost. He has 21 months so he will probably end his mission here in Magnolias. So this week I have learned so much. Elder Martinez and I are getting along so well!! We are laughing so much and we are teaching well! He has opened up so much to me and I really do feel like we are brothers now. It´s sad that we only have one more week together, but what is nice is that this Thursday we are going to the temple. So that will be pretty sweet.
Thanks to my companion I have learned so many things. One thing that he has always done that I just admire and that he is my example for, and it is serving others. He has done countless little things for me and for everyone that we teach. Because of him, I have been trying to be like that. I have been reading in Matthew recently and I have noticed a trend in the teachings of Jesus Cristo and that is…we have to forget of ourselves and serve others. Pretty much forget the world and yourself, and serve others. Now this principle is completely flipped in this world that we live in. Everyone has a self-centered world and because of that nothing gets done and no one is happy. Thanks to my companion I have put this to practice and I can´t tell you how happy I have been. I know that this is the same for everyone in this world. If you are not happy, it´s not because of your circumstances or situation, it´s because you are not serving others. It is the second greatest commandment of God.
So this is my invitation for you, and that is during the day find an opportunity to serve others. You might think it´s hard to find an opportunity like that but the thing is that each day there are thousands of opportunities. Just be aware of it now and you will find that serving is everywhere. And I promise you as a representative of Jesus Cristo that you will get this spiritual high and it will we addicting and that you will always want to serve!
Well that´s my letter for this fine week! I love you!!
Love,
