Buenos Días!
Espero que cada uno de ustedes estén bien! Esta semana fue tan rápido y muchas cosas paso. Sé que solo pocos de ustedes pueden entenderme jajaja. Pero ya voy a hablar en ingles.
Finally the weeks are going by fast once again! We are working super hard with the members and are having success with them! But this week started off with P-day and it was pretty good! We had Chili´s and that was nice to get a good ´MURICAN burger hahaha. Then after was a normal week. On Wednesday we did a service project at that same house but what was awesome is that he´s building his house out of dry wall and we helped him with that. Yeah the only Peruvian who doesn´t have a house out of cement or cardboard. But this service project was just like that summer project in Grandma´s garage! Ah man I was in heaven, the smell of dry wall and mud, wow! They were impressed with my skills and all I have to say is thank you Grandma Langfoss! And also Papa when we fixed the hole in the basement in Lake Valley! But that was a good experience for this week!
A pretty humbling experience happened on Thursday night. We were walking home after a good lesson and there was this old couple carrying carpet and a bag. So we gave them our help and carried it for them. Well they lived all the way up this hill/mountain and we were talking with them. The wife doesn´t understand a lick of Spanish, just a native language of the Incas. But when we got to their house, we saw how they live and it´s literally was just recycled things to make up the walls and barely a roof. They just had one bed and that´s about it. They told us to sit down on their bed and teach them. They sat down on the ground and listened to us. I have never seen someone more humble than them. They told us how much the Lord has blessed them and how lucky they have been. This touched my heart so much because they don´t have anything but they are happy and praise and adore the Lord their God. We taught an excellent lesson with them and then we prayed. The prayer was super powerfull and then we got up to leave. But they told us to wait a minute. So we did and they pulled out a small box under their bed and in it were eggs and pretty sure the only food they had. They gave us about 5 eggs to go. We tried to say no but they were persistent. That was a moment in my life that I will always remember because of how little they had and yet they give so much away. I will remember the things that I felt and apply it to my life forever.
So that was an experience from my week that was pretty cool. I love hearing from you guy! I LOVE YOU!!!
